No, you can be in both a troop and a crew. Be warned however, scheduling conflicts may arise.
Crew 73 participates in a wide variety of events, including:
In addition to these things, the crew can decide on other activities at will.
No, many of our members enjoy other activities the most. Most trips are centered around the outdoors rather than radio. However, radio gear is present on most of the outings.
Most crew 73 trips are very affordable, being under $20. Most of this money goes towards gas, and the rest towards food. The crew does not make any profit off of the trips. However, there are a few trips, like Winterfest, that are more expensive.
As of now, the crew doesn't have any official gear. However, most crew members have a little extra to share, so there shouldn't be any problems.
Most of what you need is basic camping gear. A backpacking style tent is recommended, as it takes up less space and is perfect for all kinds of activities. A pair of shoes that you can walk in the woods in is a must, and clothes for different types of weather are useful as well. Past that, any other gear depends on what type of activity you will be going on.

We usually meet for about two hours. That gives us enough time to conduct buissness, hang out, and have a good time.
